Producing cDNA from mRNA.

   A  short  oligo-dT  annealed to the poly-A 3' tail of mRNA serves as a
   primer.

   Reverse  transcriptase  uses  the  mRNA  as a template to synthesize a
   complementary  DNA  strand (cDNA) and forms an RNA/DNA double-stranded
   duplex.
